Driving Force for the European Future Development



The Regional Council of Lapland together with the Lapland’s University Consortium would like to invite You to participate in the seminar entitled 'ARCTIC SMARTNESS – Driving Force for the European Future Development' on 13 March 2014, in Brussels. The seminar will focus on innovation as the driving force boosting regional growth and development in Lapland, the northernmost region of the European Union.

The seminar 'ARCTIC SMARTNESS – Driving Force for the European Future Development' will provide a unique opportunity to share practices and expertise from the European Arctic, find possible partners for European projects cooperation, discuss the views and visions with the stakeholders from the Lapland Arctic Region and jointly collaborate on the recommendations for further development.

The seminar will bring together around 80 participants including representatives of associations and experts from the EU institutions, members of the Committee of the Regions, stakeholders, associations and members of regional councils.

Registration is free of charge and should be done submitting the online registration form by 11 March 2014 at the latest. A confirmation of your registration will be sent by e-mail.

The Seminar ‘ARCTIC SMARTNESS – Driving Force for the European Future Development’ will be hosted by the Committee of the Regions (CoR),  Rue Belliard/Belliardstraat 99-101, B-1040 Brussels. The CoR main building is referred to as the ‘ Jacques Delors building’ (see map on ).
