Using a mountain bike is an easy way to explore Lapland’ s nature, as the roads in Lapland are in good condition and have very little traffic, making it ideal for cross-country and road cycling. You can take one of the marked routes or plan your own. Marked trekking trails can be found from holiday resorts and national parks. In some places, the slopes of the fell hillsides are also available for mountain bikers.

Hundreds of kilometres of routes
In Levi, for instance you can cycle along a 40-kilometre long signposted and well surfaced routes, as well as on demanding fell slopes.  In Ylläs, cyclists have marked routes totalling 200 kilometres that criss-cross the hidden areas of seven fell regions.

The Arctic Circle Route, as its name would suggest, is a route that follows the Arctic Circle through three different municipalities. There are 20 service enterprises providing meaningful experiences and activities for visitors using the routes. More information on the Arctic Circle routes and other mountain biking routes can be found from the Routes section.
